This next week will be a busy one for the Swimmers and Divers. Torview will compete in their final meet at Seven Bridges this Saturday July 26 at 9 AM, Diving Championship on Wednesday July 30 at Torview, All-Star Diving Meet on Thursday July 31 at Pocantico Hills, Swimming Championships on Saturday August 2 at Bedford Hills and All-Star Swim Meet on Sunday August 3 at Briarcliff Manor Pool. They will hold their second Fund Raiser car wash in the Torview Driveway Sunday August 3 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Finally, they will wrap up the week with the Annual Swim and Dive Team Party on Sunday August 3 at 6:00 PM.
Kids Night #2 will occur on Monday July 28. The Rain date will be July 29. Kids ages 7-11 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Kids ages 12-18 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Cost is $15 and it includes 2 slices of Pizza and a night of fun!!! No Adults are permitted!!! Sign up at the Torview office.
Torview Night was held on Saturday July 19. A great time was had by all who attended. We had live music, gourmet food and great conversation (along with a few funny stories). As a reminder, the pool will close early this week on Monday July 28 for Kids Night #2, Wednesday July 30 for Diving Championships and Sunday August 3 for the Annual Swim and Dive Team Party.
Torview Raffle. Take a chance to win free membership dues and capital improvements fee for the 2009 season. Each ticket costs $50. Buy as many as you want. Tickets can be purchased from either Tania Cafarelli or Gail Cavanaugh. This raffle is open to both current members and those wishing to become members. If the winner is not already a member, they will still need to purchase a bond and pay the initiation fee. This prize has no cash value so you cannot turn it in for cash. The prize is also non-transferrable, so if you win, you cannot pass it on to someone else. Drawing will be held September 1, 2008. GOOD LUCK!!!
