On Saturday July 19th, Torview Swim and Dive team traveled to Bedford Village to compete on a very hot and humid morning. Since Bedford Village was undefeated, we knew we had a tough job ahead of us. The Dive team dove their hearts out but with only three divers to Bedford Village's eight, it was an up hill battle. Taking 2 third place and 1 first place finish, we had score on the board. The Swim team came to the blocks with more than a dozen swimmers out of town on vacation. We fought hard and had many close finishes from our swimmers giving their all. Many swimmers were team players swimming in age groups above their age. When the meet was completed, Torview had 22 first place finishes, 11 second place finishes and 21 third place finishes. This calculated to 210 well earned points for Torview and 295 points for Bedford Village. We might have lost this meet but many of the swimmers found out how hard they could really push.
